Start with the business system
These are engineering options to assess, not ready-made connectors, vendor partnerships or features included in every proposal. Start with the workflow and access you need, then choose the technology.
Connect payments
Confirm merchant eligibility, payment confirmation, order fulfilment and reconciliation.
Connect operational data
Map records, sync direction, duplicate handling and the source of truth.
Understand customer activity
Define an enquiry or purchase, respect consent and distinguish traffic from qualified demand.
Manage sign-in
Decide who can enter an application and which records or actions they may access.
Operate reliably
Assign alert response, recovery, patching and the ongoing budget.
What an integration assessment should deliver
- A system and data map, including the authoritative record and direction of each sync.
- Access feasibility: API documentation, sandbox, credentials, provider approval and limits.
- Failure handling: duplicate events, partial completion, retries, manual recovery and reconciliation.
- Named business, vendor and technical owners, with operating costs and support boundaries.
- A quotation scope with deliverables, exclusions, assumptions and observable acceptance criteria.
Prepare a sanitized record, one workflow, systems you must retain and the person who can approve the result. An assessment does not imply every proposed connection is feasible.
