Senior Backend Engineer (Java/Spring)

About the role

You will design and build the server side of business systems that replace spreadsheets and manual workflows: ERPs, CRMs, booking systems, and integration layers for regulated industries.

What you will do

• Design clean REST APIs and data models on Java and Spring Boot with PostgreSQL.
• Build integrations with enterprise platforms — payment providers, ERP/CRM systems, and custom private APIs.
• Own security reviews, performance tuning, and reliability for the services you ship.
• Work directly with clients to turn operational requirements into working systems.

What we look for

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot (or a strongly typed equivalent).
• Solid grounding in relational data modelling, API design, and secure authentication patterns.
• Experience deploying to cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Clear written communication — you will document architecture decisions for client teams.

How we work

Squad-based delivery in two-week cycles with a senior architect reviewing all code. You stay on the projects you ship; no constant reassignment.
